TORONTO (CP) - Plymouth Whalers centre Evan Brophey was named the Ontario Hockey League's player of the month Thursday.
He led all OHL players with 26 points (seven goals, 19 assists) in 11 games last month. Brophey had two four-point games and also had a five-point effort on Dec. 17 in a 5-1 win over the Brampton Battalion. He finished the month with a plus-10 rating.
