(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins seek their third consecutive win tonight when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at Mellon Arena.
On Monday, Evgeni Malkin's goal in the third round of the shootout provided the Penguins with an incredible come-from-behind 5-4 win over the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center.
Malkin and Sidney Crosby tallied a goal and one assist each. Erik Christensen and Maxime Talbot scored the other goals for Pittsburgh, which has won two straight following a four-game losing streak. Netminder Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves for his 13th win of the season.
Malkin leads all rookies with 15 goals and 30 points.
The Penguins will host the NY Islanders on Friday.
Philly, meanwhile, has lost its last four games. On Tuesday the Flyers dropped a 3-1 tilt at home to the NY Rangers, as Kevin Weekes only needed to make 15 saves to lift the Rangers.
