(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will try to remain on the winning track tonight, as they welcome the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes to Mellon Arena.

The Pens halted a five-game losing streak Friday night against Toronto. Marc- Andre Fleury made 30 saves to help Pittsburgh to a 4-1 triumph over the Maple Leafs at Mellon Arena.

Sidney Crosby had three assists for the Penguins. The 19-year-old phenom leads the NHL in points (58) and assists (41) this year.

Sergei Gonchar and Evgeni Malkin each had a goal and an assist, while Jordan Staal and Erik Christensen also lit the lamp for Pittsburgh, which snapped a seven-game home losing streak versus Toronto.

Tonight marks the end of a three-game homestand for the Penguins, who are 9-8-3 in the Steel City this year.

The Hurricanes are coming off a setback, as they dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Philadelphia on New Year's Eve. Robert Esche's 40 saves led the Flyers to the victory at the RBC Center.
