(Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs will shoot for their first three- game winning streak in over a month, as they battle the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at Mellon Arena.
The Leafs have taken the first two tests of a three-game road trip, beating Tampa Bay on Tuesday before winning Thursday at Florida. John Pohl tallied the game-winning marker in the second period of Thursday's test, and Toronto held on for the 3-2 win over the Panthers.
Boyd Devereaux and Chad Kilger had the other goals for the Leafs, who have won five of their last eight games while extending their road winning streak to four straight. Andrew Raycroft finished with 39 saves between the pipes.
Toronto hasn't won three in a row since December 12-16.
The Maple Leafs, who are tied with the Rangers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East, are 12-8-3 as the road team this season.
The Penguins, meanwhile, are coming off a shootout loss in Boston on Thursday. Phil Kessel scored the deciding goal in the final segment to lift the Bruins to the 5-4 triumph.
