(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will try to halt a four-game losing streak this evening, when they visit the Atlanta Thrashers at Philips Arena.

The Penguins dropped three straight in regulation before losing to the division rival New York Rangers in a shootout on Thursday. Brendan Shanahan scored the lone shootout tally and Henrik Lundqvist made three brilliant saves in the final phase to lift New York to the 3-2 win at Madison Square Garden.

Lundqvist stopped Evgeni Malkin's attempt before Shanahan went one-on-one with Marc-Andre Fleury, sending a high wrist shot over the netminder's glove and just underneath the crossbar. Lundqvist closed the five-hole on Nils Ekman and made a pad save on Sidney Crosby to ice the victory for the Rangers.

Ekman and Crosby tallied for the Pens, who have dropped seven of their last eight games. Fleury stopped 20-of-22 shots in the losing effort.

Tonight marks the middle test of a three-game road trip for the Pens, who are 5-5-2 as the visiting club this year.

I bet Atlanta comes out looking to pounce hoping to erase the memory of that horrible loss to Tampa. It will be a tough game to snap that streak on that road but maybe the Thrashers are on the skids and the Pens can take advantage early.

Either way my fantasy pool hopes Crosby has a sensational night.
