(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins take aim at a fourth consecutive victory when the high-scoring club opens a three-game homestand tonight with a matchup against the Florida Panthers from Mellon Arena.

Pittsburgh got its second half of the season off to a terrific start over the weekend. After coming through with a shootout victory at Dallas in their first game back from the All-Star break, the Penguins closed out a brief road swing by routing the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.

Sidney Crosby and Mark Recchi each had a goal and three assists to lead Pittsburgh to the easy 7-2 victory. Ryan Malone, Maxime Talbot, Ryan Whitney, Jarkko Ruutu and Ronald Petrovicky also tallied for the Pens, while Jocelyn Thibault stopped 22-of-24 shots manning the pipes.

The triumph was Pittsburgh's fifth in its last six games and the club has racked up 32 goals over that stretch. The Penguins have won four in a row on two occasions during this season, with the most recent streak coming between December 9-15.

Both Crosby, who leads all NHL players with 78 points, and Recchi have been on a tear of late. Each player is riding a six-game scoring streak, with Recchi amassing seven goals and six assists during his run and Crosby tallying four goals and nine helpers.

In addition, Penguins forward Ryan Whitney has had at least one assist in seven consecutive games.

Pittsburgh, which sports a 12-8-4 mark as the host for the year, will also take on Montreal and Washington during this homestand.
