PITTSBURGH (Ticker) - The Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday announced that left wing Ryan Malone will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a broken right forearm.

Malone suffered the injury Saturday in Pittsburgh's 5-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

That sound is the other shoe dropping: If there were any chance of Staal not becoming a permanent fixture, Malone's diagnosis killed it. Good for Staal, good for the Pens--and I feel sorry for Malone.
