(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will try to get back on track tonight when they welcome the New York Rangers to Mellon Arena this evening.

The Penguins have dropped six of their last seven games (1-4-2) and have fallen to fourth place in the Atlantic Division.

Pittsburgh was handed a 4-2 setback Friday night in Buffalo as Maxim Afinogenov scored once and had an assist to pace the Sabres.

Sidney Crosby scored twice, Mark Recchi picked up two assists, and Jocelyn Thibault stopped 32-of-35 shots in the loss for the Penguins.

The Rangers will also try to rebound from a loss tonight after dropping a 2-1 decision in Carolina on Wednesday. Rod Brind'Amour tallied the game-winning goal to lift the Hurricanes at the RBC Center.

Jaromir Jagr had the only goal for the Rangers, who dropped the contest following Tuesday's 3-2 victory over New Jersey.
