LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Joe Pavelski scored a goal and added an assist to lift the San Jose Sharks to a 3-1 preseason triumph over the Los Angeles Kings.
Pavelski set up reigning Hobey Baker Award winner Matt Carle's goal at 12:37 of the first period to give the Sharks a 1-0 lead.
Pavelski scored a power-play goal 4:57 into the third period to give the Sharks a 3-1 lead when he banged in his own rebound past Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Bernier.
