(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning try to halt an early two-game skid tonight when they visit the Florida Panthers at Bank Atlantic Center in the opener of a home-and-home.

Since a season-opening shootout win in Atlanta, the Bolts have lost home games to the Bruins and Thrashers. On Monday they dropped a 1-0 game versus Atlanta, as Kari Lehtonen stopped all 34 shots he faced to lead the victors.

The Lightning peppered Lehtonen with 17 shots in the second period alone, but couldn't beat him.

Marc Denis stopped 18 shots for Tampa Bay, which had held the Thrashers to 11 shots in the first meeting between the teams to tie the franchise record for fewest shots allowed in a game.

Denis, who was obtained from Columbus this summer, has made saves on 49 of the 55 shots he has faced in the early going.

Tampa Bay will host Florida on Saturday to complete this set.
