(Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames continue a six-game homestand this evening when the Florida Panthers pay their first visit to the Pengrowth Saddledome in three years.

Calgary has gone 2-1-0 so far during the stretch, having its win streak snapped with Tuesday's 3-2 setback to Vancouver.

Matthew Lombardi scored both goals for the Flames and Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 26 shots in the loss. Former Panther Kristian Huselius assisted on both of Lombardi's tallies.

Calgary, which currently resides in third place of the competitive Northwest Division with 42 points, is an outstanding 14-5-0 as the host this season. The Flames trail the first-place Canucks by three points.

The Panthers started up a three-game swing through Western Canada with a 4-1 loss to Edmonton on Tuesday. Florida's Olli Jokinen scored on the power play late in the third period to avoid the shutout.

Jozef Stumpel and Martin Gelinas picked up assists for the Panthers, who had a two-game win streak halted. Ed Belfour made 29 saves in the loss.

Florida will wind up this trip Sunday in Vancouver. The Panthers are an unimpressive 5-12-5 on the road this season.
