(Sports Network) - A battle between intrastate rivals is on tap tonight in Sunrise, as the Florida Panthers welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to BankAtlantic Center.

The Panthers will try to win back-to-back games for just the second this season when they take the ice this evening. Florida previously achieved the feat with a two-game winning streak from October 11-13.

Florida is coming off Monday's road win over the Boston Bruins. Joe Nieuwendyk's power-play goal proved to be the game-winner as the Panthers edged the Bruins, 3-2, at TD Banknorth Garden.

Martin Gelinas and Nathan Horton also scored for the Panthers, who have won two of their last three contests following losses in seven of their previous eight games. Alex Auld stopped 29 shots for Florida.

Tonight marks the first of two straight games at home for Florida, which is 6-4-1 as the host this season.
