The Owen Sound Attack named Captain David Kolomatis and sophomore forward, Joey Hishon the Co-Becker Shoes Attackers of the Week for the week ending Monday, January 26, 2009.
The Attack kicked off the week on the 21st when they played host to the 9th place Kitchener Rangers. Kitchener entered the game 4 points back of the Attack for 8th place. Joey Hishon finished the game with a goal and an assist and a +1 rating while Kolomatis tallied 1 assist and had and even rating in a 4-3 Shoot-Out loss.
Friday evening, the Attack traveled to Mississauga to take on the Majors. The Attack were on the wrong end of a 7-3 score and Joey Hishon was held off the score sheet but David Kolomatis was able to register 2 assists and carry a +1 rating.
The Attack were able to bounce back against division rivals Guelph Storm on Saturday. Kolomatis chipped in with a goal and a +2 rating while Hishon was named the games first star with 2 goals and a +3 rating in a 5-4 Attack victory.
The Attack return to the ice this Wednesday when Rogers TV presents the Attack vs. the Barrie Colts. Game time is 7:00pm.
