yeah, I really wanted Volchenkov, but the way the Sens have been playing they won't trade him. But if we could get out hands on a guy like Jackman from St. Louis I would be pretty happy

yeah volchenkov is really good he and his defensive partner (name escapes me) have kept crosby to 2 goals in all the meetings between pens and sens, he also has a cannon on him... him and green, would be an absolute blue line force in terms of offence, not that the caps need it.

i wanted us to take a shot at scott neidermeyer but he hasnt looked great in the olympics, damn salary cap, wish we could have kept scuderi....

i think weve derailed this thread from the ovechkin is a very naughty man thread too, lol, great stuff!

yeah, the Sens always seem to be a problem fro Crosby. But he has done enough damage to other teams. lol. And neidermeyer would bring great experience to the Pens along with skill, and leadership.

And yeah, we might be a little off topic. lol, but it's all good

trade day is pretty important to be honest. were a couple of peices short your 1 peice short and jersey are pretty much there, maybe 1 defenceman short as well.

ahhhhhh Charlio. (Bags shakes head to himself)
:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Jus' stirrin' the pot. ;)

Seriously he is one half of the best thing to happen to the NHL, possibly ever.

The Whole Crosby/Ovechkin thing is great for the sport. Hopefully someday Malkin will get traded and his name can be tossed in there with them.

It would be great to have Malkin in LA so that the League would have a 3 headed marketing monster.

pens fans say no, its selfish but we love the 2 headed monster.

hows about staal for ovechkin :p im sure i could like him a bit more in black and gold, its not like theres a salary cap or anything, well throw in a 7th round pick to make up for the 1 spot between em in the entry draft. i jest of course, bob errey couldnt cope without mentioning staal had a long stick :)

IF Elias convinced Kaberle to waive his NTC to come to NJD then the Devs are really scary. They need someone to get the puck to Kovy, Elias, and Parise.

I have no idea what NJD could even offer Toronto that would interest Burke, after they emptied the cupboard to get Kovalchuk.

Zubruis 2nd this year, 2nd next?, its boom or bust for new jersey next couple of years. would get burke in favour with leaf fans for gettin picks. maybe a prospect as well, tollefson comes to mind

No the Pens have a three headed montser. Staal would be 2nd line C on 24 or 25 teams in the NHL.

I will say this though. Putting Staal in the checking role has turned him into a complete player at an amazingly early age. IF Staal were coming to Toronto I would pack Schenn and Kadri's bags for them.

Sorry but Kabs is 1st+ material. Without a 1st or bluechip prospect I think the Leafs just keep him, and exptend him.

yeah new jersey doesnt have that much to offer for him, that was best i could see, penguins could though as could washington,

to TOR
Caputi/ letestu (id prefer to give up let cause caputi could be the winger were looking for)
Dupuis
1st 2010

to Pit
Kaberle

dont know how that fits in cap wise though, whats kaberle's salary, considering i see one of goliogski or letang going in the off season, probably go-go.

and i love jordan staal 'mr shorthanded'. shenners great and kadri is one for the future fancy givin up a 1st in 2012 as well :p

I dont blame Ovie for reacting the way he did and that doesnt make him a crybaby, IMO.
He was likely already in a foul mood after getting blown out by Canada and then someone is taping you while youre having a PRIVATE conversation on the phone? Give me a break! That guy is lucky thats all Ovie did.

Kabs earns 4.25, one of the best bargains for a vetern D with his offense.

No use for Dupuis, but he would be there for cap reasons.
The 1st is tempting, but it is going to be a late one for sure.
Might need to add in a 2nd in 2011.

Not a chance on the 1st. Sorry. Schenn and Kadri and a 3rd in 2011 is my final offer. Why not add this into the Kaberle deal?

To PIT:
Schenn
Kaberle
Kadri
3rd 2011

To TOR:
Staal
Caputi
Dupuis
1st 2010
2nd 2011

I dunno. Might have to throw in Primeau to pick up some of Staals defensive duties?

As much as I would love Staal in Toronto I just don't see Pittsburg needing Kaberle or Burke parting with Schenn AND Kadri, the two picks(along with Kessel) that he has hung his legacy on in Toronto.
