The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League return to action this weekend with three games in three days beginning with a pair of contests at the Tullio Arena.

Friday the Otters host the Barrie Colts in a 7:30 p.m. start. In the spirit of the holiday season and in celebration of Downtown D'Lights the Otters are admitted all children (12 and under) in the game free when accompanied by a paying adult. The game also marks the last opportunity for 2006-07 Season Ticket Holders to redeem any unused 2006-07 Season Tickets from September, October and November games. Tickets for the game are available at the Civic Center Box Office and all Erie-area TicketMaster locations.

Saturday the Otters welcome the Saginaw Spirit in a 7:30 p.m. start. Tickets for the game are available at the Civic Center Box Office and all Erie-area TicketMaster locations.

Sunday the Otters travel to Guelph to face the Storm in a 3 p.m. start.

The Otters (8-22-0-1) enter the weekend coming off a convincing 6-2 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on home ice Saturday. Kelly Geoffrey paced Erie in the victory with two goals and an assist to improve his season totals to seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 24 games. Zack Torquato chipped in with a goal and two assists to take over the Otters scoring lead with 15 goals and 18 assists for 33 points in 30 games.

Barrie enters Friday's game with the best record in the Eastern Conference (24-7-0-1) and the most wins in the OHL. Bryan Little is the Colts leading scorer with 24 goals and 38 assists for 62 points in 30 games. The veteran forward, who was selected in the first round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers, is currently in Calgary trying out for the Canadian World Junior Team.

Saturday the Spirit arrives with a 21-9-0-2 record, good enough for first place in the West Division. Saginaw will be without their top two scorers as Tom Pyatt (Canada) and Jan Mursak (Slovenia) as well as former Otters captain Ryan O'Marra (Canada) who are all with their respective countries in preparation for the World Junior Hockey Championship.

That leaves Tyler Haskins as the leading active Spirit scorer with nine goals and 34 assists for 43 points in 32 games.

The Otters wrap up the weekend against the Storm (13-14-1-4) Sunday in Guelph. Tyler Doig leads the Storm in scoring with 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points in 28 games. The Otters have won the last two meetings between the two teams.

All three games can be heard on 1330 Erie's ESPN Radio and on-line at Welcome | Erie Otters (presented by the James H. Cross Company). The pre-game show on Friday and Saturday gets underway at 7:15 p.m. Sunday's game can be heard in it's entirety immediately following Pittsburgh Steelers Football.
