(Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars will aim for their third consecutive victory tonight when they visit the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place.

The Stars are coming off Wednesday's win over the visiting St. Louis Blues. Eric Lindros tallied two goals and Marty Turco stopped 23 shots as Dallas knocked off the Blues, 4-1, at American Airlines Center.

Dallas improved to 10-2 on the season and is off to its best start in franchise history.

Mike Modano and Jussi Jokinen each had a goal and an assist for the Stars, who have won five of their last six games. Dallas has 20 points and is currently two behind Anaheim for first place in the Pacific Division.

Tonight marks the start of a four-game road trip for the Stars, who are 5-1-0 as the visiting team this season.

The Oilers are coming off Wednesday's setback to Nashville. Paul Kariya had three assists to lead the Predators past the Oilers, 5-3, at Rexall Place.

Ales Hemsky, Ryan Smyth and Marc-Andre Bergeron all scored for the Oilers, who have dropped three of their last four games. Hemsky has registered points in five straight games and has seven points (2g, 5a) over that span.
