(Sports Network) - The Edmonton Oilers will shoot for back-to-back road wins when the previously slumping club skates into the American Airlines Center to take on the Dallas Stars.

Edmonton had dropped four of its last five games before recording a thrilling 3-2 victory Thursday at Phoenix. Petr Sykora netted the deciding goal with 1:14 remaining.

Ales Hemsky added a goal and an assist and Jarret Stoll contributed a shorthanded marker to the winning effort. Backup goaltender Jussi Markkanen got the start between the pipes and made 21 saves.

Dallas returns home off a three-game road swing in which the club managed a pair of triumphs, including an impressive 3-0 decision Thursday at San Jose.

Marty Turco made 20 saves to record his fourth shutout of the season and his 28th in a Stars' uniform, moving him past Ed Belfour for first place in franchise history for that category.
