STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder announced that the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League have assigned rookie right wing Stephane Goulet from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League to the Thunder.

Goulet appeared in one NHL preseason game for the Oilers, who are the NHL affiliate of Stockton.

Selected in the seventh round (208th overall) by Edmonton in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old had two penalty minutes in two games with Grand Rapids.

The 6-foot-3 and 200-pound Goulet played the last three years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he had 154 points (79g-75a) in 190 regular season games and 10 points (3g-7a) in 17 playoff games with Quebec and Moncton from 2003-06.
