The Islanders are excited to be choosing fifth overall at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in what is considered one of the deepest drafts in recent history. To celebrate the newest addition to the team, the Islanders are hosting a Draft Party on Friday, June 20th at the Nassau Coliseum. The Draft begins at 7:00 pm, but doors open at 5:30 pm.

ESPN's John Buccigross will be the evening's host and Islanders prospects Jack Hillen and Robin Figren will also be in attendance.

Along with watching the Draft live on the video board, general manager Garth Snow and other team personnel at the draft will be interviewed via satellite, along with the Islanders' selection in this year's draft.

Historic Islanders exhibits from the Hockey Hall of Fame will be flown in from Toronto and will be on display at the Coliseum. Locker room tours will be available to everyone and the I.C.E. Tour's inflatables will also be setup for the younger fans to enjoy.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I could be there.
