NEW YORK – Nashville Predators forward Scott Nichol has been suspended for nine games, without pay, for a blind-side punch to the head of Buffalo Sabres defenceman Jaroslav Spacek during Buffalo's 7-2 win Thursday night.

What a cheap shot, he could at least ask Spacek if he wanted to fight, not just go behind him and give him a cheap shot in the face.

He deserved what he got, and personnaly I think he should of got is ass kick by the Saber players that were on the ice.

Nichol is an idiot. Good thing Spacek is alright. That was more of a cheap shot than Bertuzzi's. Well maybe not but Nichol punched Spacek in the side of the face bare hand and Bertuzzi had his gloves on and punched him in the back of the helmet. I would have gave Nichol a longer suspension.
