NEW YORK (CP) - Right-winger Viktor Kozlov of the New York Islanders, goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin of the Chicago Blackhawks and right-winger Marian Hossa of the Atlanta Thrashers are the NHL's three stars of the week.
Kozlov was named first star after leading all scorers with nine points, including seven goals, in four games. He scored four goals in a 7-4 win over the New York Rangers on Sunday.
The six-foot-five Russian became the fifth player in NHL history to havee six goals in road games on consecutive days. The others were St. Louis centre Red Berenson, who scored all six in one game at Philadelphia in 1968, Edmonton's Wayne Gretzky (1984), Toronto's Darryl Sittler (1980) and Chicago's Stan Mikita (1965).
