ANAHEIM -- The Ducks look forward to the return of D Scott Niedermayer to the lineup this week. Niedermayer may return as early as Tuesday night.

Anaheim will host the 10th Annual Casino Night on Feb. 8 with benefits going to the Orangewood Children’s Foundation.

ATLANTA – LW Ilya Kovalchuk scored his 30th goal of the season on Feb. 3 and has points in six of his last seven games (7-3--10).

LW Jim Slater had two goals and an assist last week, matching his career high with two points on Feb. 1 against the Islanders.

RW Marian Hossa has earned 23 points (9-16--23) in the last 22 games and the Thrashers are 24-6-4 when Hossa notches a point.

The seventh Annual Atlanta Thrashers Casino Night benefiting the Atlanta Thrashers Foundation will be held on Feb. 28.

BOSTON -- The Bruins snapped a five-game losing streak on Feb. 3 with an overtime win at Carolina.

C Marc Savard currently sits tied for sixth in League scoring with 66 points (18-48--66) and is third in the NHL with 48 assists.

Assistant captain Patrice Bergeron will host a group of children from Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Boston's leading organization in providing services to homeless, high-risk and runaway youth, in his suite at the Bruins game on Feb. 10.

BUFFALO -- C Chris Drury tied a career high with his 30th goal of the season on Feb. 3 for his second consecutive 30-goal season – his 30th goal last season came in Buffalo’s 82nd game on April 18.

The Sabres will host Calgary (on Feb. 10) for the first time since November 23, 2001. The Flames haven’t won in Buffalo since March 15, 1996.

The second annual “Aces & Blades” casino night, which features Sabres players as the dealers, will take place on Feb. 9 with proceeds benefiting the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

CALGARY -- The Flames will retire goaltender Mike Vernon’s number 30 Tuesday night. It will be only the second Flames number retired, as Lanny McDonald’s No. 9 is the only other jersey hanging from the rafters at Pengrowth Saddledome.

D Rhett Warrener tallied his 100th career NHL point on Feb. 2 and LW Alex Tanguay played in his 500th career NHL game.

The Flames continue with a community outreach program called Rinklighter, which features various Flames players visiting outdoor community rinks and participating in a practice with minor hockey players.

CAROLINA -- The Hurricanes, winless in their last four games, begin a critical road trip Tuesday before heading to Boston and Minnesota.

RW Chad Larose will complete his first ‘tour’ of the NHL when the Hurricanes play Minnesota on Feb. 10. Carolina did not play Minnesota in Larose's rookie season (2005-06).

CHICAGO -- Over the past eight games, the Blackhawks have allowed only three goals in 34 times short-handed (91.2%).

Two games into their seven-game road trip, the Blackhawks are a perfect 12-for-12 killing penalties.

C Tuomo Ruutu had four points in three games (1-3--4) last week, including assists on consecutive overtime goals against Calgary and Los Angeles.

COLORADO -- D Karlis Skrastins is set to tie the NHL record for consecutive games played by a defenseman when he plays his 486th straight game on Feb. 6 against Florida. He will equal the mark set by the late Tim Horton from Feb.11, 1961 to Feb. 4, 1968. Skrastins hasn’t missed a game since Feb. 18, 2000 and currently holds the longest active games-played streak in the NHL.

C Joe Sakic is four goals from becoming the 17th player in NHL history to score 600 career goals.

G Peter Budaj was 7-2-2 in 11 starts during the month of January with a .914 save percentage (350 shots, 30 goals). He has started 15 of the last 16 games and 19 of the last 23, posting an 11-6-2 record in those 19 games.

COLUMBUS -- The Blue Jackets, who have posted a 9-3-1 home record under Ken Hitchcock, will play the next six games at home. RW Dan Fritsche led the Blue Jackets in scoring (1-2--3) last week and extended his current point streak (4-2--6) to six games. Fritsche now has 20 points (10-10--20) in his last 29 games.

D Bryan Berard returned to the lineup on Jan. 31 after not having played in a game since Jan. 27, 2006. He averaged 24:30 of ice time in his first two games back.

On Friday, the Blue Jackets players and wives will host Hockey Fest 2007 with proceeds benefiting the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation.

DALLAS -- Garth Brooks will be in attendance for the Stars' home game against Colorado and will perform a 75-minute private concert for the Stars players and coaches following the game. G Marty Turco has played in 21 consecutive games and helped the Stars win two of three games last week – he stopped 50 of 56 shots on the week and allowed two goals in all three games.

DETROIT -- D Nicklas Lidstrom had six assists in two games last week, including assists on LW Henrik Zetterberg’s overtime winner on Jan. 30 and the short-handed winner against St. Louis on Feb. 2. Zetterberg also had six points in two games (2-4--6).

As part of Hockey Day In Michigan, the Red Wings will hold an open practice for fans on Feb. 10 with proceeds from the event benefiting the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.

Hockey Day In Michigan will also feature youth clinics at Joe Louis Arena and conclude with collegiate powerhouses Michigan and Michigan State battling at Joe Louis Arena.

On Feb. 11, the Red Wings will hold a Valentine Puck Draw where fans will have the opportunity to purchase autographed pucks with all proceeds benefiting the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.

EDMONTON -- RW Ales Hemsky tied his single-game career high for points (1-3--4) on Jan. 27 vs. Los Angeles and has a four-game scoring streak (2-8--10). Hemsky is tied with LW Ryan Smyth for the team lead in multiple-point games (12) and leads the team in multiple assists games (11).

On Jan. 31, the Oilers extended their streak of consecutive regular-season sellouts to 60. The streak dates back to November 29, 2005.

LW Raffi Torres (2-0-2) and RW Fernando Pisani (1-2--3) each scored their 100th career points as an Oiler on Jan. 31.

The Oilers are second in the League in penalty killing (87.5%) and lead the NHL in penalty killing on the road (93.3%).

LOS ANGELES -- C Michael Cammalleri extended his scoring streak to six games (4-5--9) with a career-high four points (2-2--4) against Florida on Feb. 3. It is the longest streak of any Kings player this season and the longest of Cammalleri’s career.

G Sean Burke recorded his 38th career shutout on Feb. 3 and will return to Tampa Bay on Feb. 6 for the first time since being waived by the Lightning last month.

Former Los Angeles Kings left wing and current Kings radio color analyst Daryl Evans will host the Daryl Evans Hockey Clinic at the Ontario Ice Skating Center in Ontario, CA on Feb. 21. Participants will receive expert instruction from Evans who scored the game-winning goal in the famed “Miracle on Manchester” game on April 10, 1982 and a ticket to the Kings game on Feb. 22.

MINNESOTA -- G Manny Fernandez will miss one to three more weeks after re-injuring his left knee on Jan. 30. G Niklas Backstrom has wins in his first two starts including a 29-save shutout effort over Phoenix on Feb. 3.

RW Marian Gaborik has 14 points (10-4--14) in 13 games since returning from injury on Jan. 6. Gaborik had points in all three road wins last week (3-2--5), including two game-winning goals and a plus-five rating. Minnesota is 8-3-2 since his return.

After enduring an 11-game road winless streak, the Wild have now won seven of their last eight road games, outscoring opponents 19-15.

The entire Wild roster will wait on tables for the “Wild About Children, An Evening of Fine Dining” event on Feb. 11. The event, which includes silent and live auctions, will benefit Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

MONTREAL -- C Radek Bonk is scheduled to play in his 800th NHL game on Feb. 6. Bonk has scored 167 goals and added 270 assists in his career.

D Sheldon Souray has a career high four-game point streak after registering a point in all four games last week. He scored his team-leading fifth game-winning goal against Pittsburgh on Feb. 4, which ranks him first among NHL defensemen.

With two shorthanded goals against Pittsburgh on Feb. 1, the Canadiens tied their team record of 15 shorthanded goals in one season (1995-96).

The Canadiens, in partnership with the Quebec Chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation, hosted 11-year-old Samuel Lachaine, who suffers from Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy, on Feb. 4. Lachaine watched the warm-up from ice level, visited the locker room and was hosted in RW Alex Kovalev’s Kids Suite for the game.

NASHVILLE -- RW Steve Sullivan brings a club-record 10-game point streak (6-8--14) into the Predators' game against Pittsburgh Tuesday night.

C Jason Arnott extended his point streak to seven games (4-5--9) and reached the 20-goal mark on Feb. 3 for the eighth straight season and the 10th time in his NHL career.

G Tomas Vokoun had his third shutout of the season on Feb. 3. It was the Predators’ ninth shutout of the season (Chris Mason has five, Vokoun has three and the pair split a shutout), matching New Jersey for the League-lead.

The first 4,000 kids 12-and-under with a ticket to Saturday’s game against Los Angeles will receive a Predators youth jersey, courtesy of First Tennessee Bank.

the Predators will host the Gala Ball, their largest fund-raiser of the year next Monday at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.
