MONTREAL (CP) - Hall of Fame goaltender Lorne (Gump) Worsley passed away Saturday at age 77 at his home in Beloeil, Que.

Worsley played 21 years in the NHL with New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and Minnesota North Stars.

He won the Calder Trophy in 1952-53 and led the Rangers to the post-season in four of the ten seasons he played there.

Worsely was dealt to his hometown Canadiens in 1963 along with Leon Rochefort, Dave Balon and Len Ronson for Jacques Plante, Phil Goyette and Donny Marshall.

While with Montreal, he led the Canadiens to four Stanley Cups in seven seasons.
