The biggest lie I seen this year:

Game 0698
Wednesday, January 17, 2007
Attendance 18,532 at American Airlines Center
Start 7:40 PM CT; End 9:59 PM CT
Final
For those that saw the game there likely was at least 10,000 less than that figure in attendance tonight. Add that to the pleading article on the NHL.com site for fans not to judge the new uniforms too quickly...what have we done to our beloved league for them to treat us like this????

I got to the game with lss than 10 minutes to go in the 3rd, an there were definitely not 18 000+ fans in attendance for tonight's game.

Perhaps they meant how many people bought tickets for the game? :dunno:

The amount of tickets that are bought is how they count attendance, but usually it is a high # considering what it does look like

Yes, and I don't think that's the right way of doing!! They should count the amount of people who actually attend the games, because a lot of tickets are won on radio etc.

But if they did it that way, it would really look bad!! :D

I'm sure they do it all the time. Why would a business report less than they'd have to? If the tickets were sold, it's not a big deal and happens in all sports every day.

I was about to make a thread about this last night. That whole friken arena was empty:eek: No way over 9,000 I would say unless all the people were in the top sections.
