HAMILTON (CP) - Kris Newbury scored the game-winning goal on a power play to lead the Toronto Marlies to a 3-2 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday in American Hockey League action.
Newbury let a slap shot go from the top of the circle near the right boards that found its way past Bulldogs goaltender Jaroslav Halak. Jaime Sifers and Alex Foster also scored for Toronto.
Andrei Kostitsyn and Mikhail Grabovski scored for Hamilton.
Toronto opened the scoring at 3:11 of the first period when Sifers snapped a shot from the point past Halak for his first-career AHL goal.
