VANCOUVER (CP) - The Vancouver Canucks did some experimenting with their lines and finally found a winning formula, beating the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 in a shootout in NHL exhibition play Sunday night.

Left-winger Daniel Sedin, playing on a line with his brother Henrik and captain Markus Naslund on the right side, scored a pair of power-play goals as the Canucks won their first game of the pre-season after a pair of loses.

Jan Bulis, playing on the second line with centre Brendan Morrison and left-winger Taylor Pyatt, scored his first goal in a Canucks uniform since signing as a free agent this summer.

Anaheim's Ryan Getzlaf scored on a breakaway midway through the third period to tied the game three. Shannon Ryan scored once and also assisted on Tim Brent's goal for the Ducks.

Henrik Sedin and Morrison scored for the Canucks in the shootout. Ryan Shannon scored for the Ducks.
