An NHL arbitrator has awarded Phoenix Coyotes forward Ladislav Nagy a one-year $3 million contract for the 2006-07 season.

The Coyotes will agree to the terms and Nagy will be under contract for the 2006-07 NHL Season.

Nagy, who notched 56 points in 51 games last season, earned $1.9 million last season, during which he ranked third on the team in point production with 56.

He underwent underwent knee surgery in February and missed the last 31 games of the season.

That's quite a deal for a player that's been near PPG the last few years. I don't see Nagy play much, but I know that's he's injured often.

Maybe that played into him getting less than Briere did...

Either that, or the Arbitrator had mercy on Mr. Wayne.:dunno:

Third on the team with only 51 games played, I guess that's OK!! Not sure what they would have given him if he played the whole 82?? Scary to think about really!!!
