Beating two probable non-playoff teams may not constitute a fast start, but it sure beats the alternative.

San Jose bids home adieu for three games as it heads to Western Canada for its first road trip of the season. Stops against conference rivals Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver follow in the next five nights.

Right on Nabby.

He's one of my favourite goalies in the league, so I hope he keeps up the good work and beats out Toskala for the starting position on the team (no offence to him of course).

But they're playing the Flames tonight. No easy task.

Toskala fires back with solid 4-1 victory over the Flames. The decision on wh will be leaving town seems like it'll take a little longer than I thought. Could be months.
