Team 1200 in Ottawa is reporting Senators general manager John Muckler will retire from his post with the club at the end of this season.

Rumours suggest that Senators owner Eugene Melnyk will sell Muckler the Missassauga IceDogs -- one of two OHL franchsies Melnyk owns -- at a discounted price as a retirement present. Muckler would then move the troubled OHL franchise to the Buffalo area where he has community ties.

Should Muckler step down, it's believed current Senators coach Bryan Murray would take on the team's general manager role and a new bench boss could be on the horizan for Ottawa next season.

THats what I want to hear!! Muckler actually doing the Sens some good. I suggest getting a good coach to cover for Murry as he is espected to be GM!:D

Muckler is great, as long as he dosen't touch anything on the team. Kind of like a canadian politician.

We'll love them to death, as long as they don't touch a thing and just look pretty for four years.
