MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (CP) - The Mississauga IceDogs hired former NHLer Rob Zamuner as an assistant coach on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old from Oakville, Ont., finished his playing career last season with stints in the Italian and Swiss Leagues. Zamuner played 798 NHL games over his career with the New York Rangers, Tampa Bay, Ottawa and Boston. He finished with 139 goals and 311 points and was a member of Team Canada at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano.
