Then, Mike Pelech (shorthanded) and Kaspars Daugavins each scored at 12:47 and at 18:47, respectively, to get the Majors ahead, 3-0. The asssts went to Cameron Gaunce and Tim Billingsley.

Belleville, however, came back in the 2nd period with two goals of their own. Brett Mackie and Nick Palmieri (power-play) each wired a shot into the Majors net at 4:25 and at 19:20, to make it 3-2. Cody Alcock, Scott Howe, Eric Tangradi and Luke Judson were the helpers.

Smith-Pelly opened up the scoring for the Majors 1:06 into the 3rd period with help from Jared Gomes and Gaunce.
