Lewiston, ME - After a good weekend on the road the Lewiston MAINEiacs look to continue their winning ways with three games on tap this week at home. This week at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee the MAINEiacs will host the Saint John Sea Dogs on Wednesday, January 3rd at 7:00pm. Then this weekend they will face-off against the Rimouski Oceanic on Friday, January 5th and Sunday, January 7th they will play the Baie-Comeau Drakkar both games at 7:00pm.
Lewiston enters this week at the top of the QMJHL with a 28-8-0-3 overall record and a 6-3-0-1 record in their last 10 games. The MAINEiacs opponent on Wednesday is the Saint John Sea Dogs who are looking to end their 9 game losing streak; head-to-head the MAINEiacs are 4-0-0-0 against the Sea Dogs this season. Friday the MAINEiacs will try and get revenge against the Oceanic who are at the bottom of the Telus Division but beat the MAINEiacs 5-2 in Rimouski on 12/8. Sunday the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, ranked 5th in the Telus Division, come to town and will try and sweep the season series against the MAINEiacs as they won their last meeting back in September 5-1.
Wednesday, January 3rd is Wet Wednesday where all domestic beers are $2.00 all night long. This Wednesday's game is also Key Bank Customer Appreciation Night where all members can receive discounted tickets by stopping in at their new location by the Lewiston Mall and picking up a voucher. This game will feature our Bedard Medical Chuck-A-Puck where all proceeds will benefit Lutheran Social Services of New England and Seniors Plus - Meals on Wheels.
Friday, January 5th is Gipper's Sports Grill and Shipyard Night - with lots of t-shirt giveaways, gift certificate giveaways, and $1.00 off all Shipyard beers. Friday is also TD Banknorth Customer Appreciation Night where all members can receive discounted tickets by going to their local branch. At this game one lucky fan will shoot for $200 into an open net from center ice as we continue our Lewy's Loot Shoot promotion. Also if there are 3000 or more fans in the building we will give away $1000 cash to the winner of our Last Fan Standing Promotion. This game will feature our Bedard Medical Chuck-A-Puck where all proceeds will benefit the Edward Little Track Team and Seniors Plus - Meals on Wheels. Following the game MAINEiacs players Stefano Giliati, Michael Ward, Marc-Andre Daneau & Pierre-Luc Faubert will be in the Shipyard Lounge.
Sunday, January 7th is Family Fun Day - the ultimate family experience! There will be lots of fun for the whole family to enjoy along with an action packed game of hockey! This game will feature our Bedard Medical Chuck-A-Puck where all proceeds will benefit the Kennebec Valley Youth Hockey League and Seniors Plus - Meals on Wheels. Also if there are 3000 or more fans in the building we will give away $1000 cash to the winner of our Last Fan Standing Promotion.

MAINEiacs in the Community
This week ten of the MAINEiacs players will be making an appearance at Farwell School in Lewiston on Thursday - January 4th from 1:30-2:30pm. There, they will be presenting their Goals for Success program and Lewy's Read to Succeed Program. This is the kick-off for Hannaford Supermarket's Adopt-A-School program where they have purchased 140 tickets to be donated to students at Farwell School for their personal achievements over the next three months.
