SASKATOON (CP) - Michael MacAngus scored three third-period power-play goals as the Saskatoon Blades equalled a season-high six goals Wednesday in a 6-1 Western Hockey League win over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors.
The victory, Saskatoon's first in 10 contests, also ended a three-game winning streak by the Warriors. Colton Gillies and Ryan Menei scored power-play goals to give Saskatoon a 2-0 first-period lead. Riley Holzapfel, with his 20th of the year, spoiled rookie Garrett Zemlak's shutout bid with a goal just a second after Saskatoon had killed off a power play in the second period.
But the Blades ignited behind MacAngus' sixth, seventh and eighth goals of the season as they outshot Moose Jaw 17-5 in the final 20 minutes and 39-23 overall.
