NEW YORK (AP) - Henrik Lundqvist posted a shutout in his first preseason game, and Greg Moore set up both New York goals in the Rangers' 2-0 victory over the depleted New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night.

Lundqvist was untested in the first period when New York dominated play and held a 21-1 shots advantage. The Devils picked up their pace over the final 40 minutes, but were outshot 48-22 overall.

Moore assisted on newcomer Matt Cullen's first goal with the Rangers in the opening period, and then helped Petr Prucha score in the second.

The Rangers, who won their exhibition opener in New Jersey on Tuesday night, used a completely different lineup in the second half of the home-and-home series. Eleven New Jersey players dressed for both games.

This one featured more star power for New York in a half-empty Madison Square Garden. Brendan Shanahan was in the starting lineup in his Rangers debut, facing off against the team that selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 1987 draft.

He's a keeper. A win over New Jersey... then again, they are weaker. The Rangers shound like they're going to be great this year.

21-1 in the 1st?!
