The Vancouver Giants congratulate MILAN LUCIC on signing his first National Hockey League contract with the Boston Bruins. Terms of the entry level deal were not released.

Lucic is coming off two impressive years in a Giants uniform. This past season, the Vancouver native led the Giants in scoring with 30 goals and 38 assists. The 6'4" left winger had 19 points in 22 WHL playoff games and was named the Most Valuable Player in the Giants run to the Memorial Cup last May.

Prior to last season, Lucic was taken in the 3rd round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft (50th overall) by the Bruins. That came after his rookie season with Vancouver, one that saw him score nine goals, 10 assists, and collect 149 penalty minutes.
