TORONTO (CP) - She said yes and then TSN called, giving Jason Hall his best Christmas ever.

Less than a week after proposing to longtime girlfriend Julie Vallas, the 29-year-old registered nurse was randomly selected from more than three million entries for a chance to become an instant millionaire in a shootout contest on national television.

The London, Ont., resident will be the inaugural Chevy Silverado Million Dollar Shootout participant during the first intermission of the Calgary at Vancouver NHL game on Dec. 27, TSN announced Wednesday.

He's an RN at Victoria Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre.

"I'm still waiting to wake up from a dream," says Hall. "This Christmas is becoming the most memorable one ever."

Hall, who is six-foot-two and 220 pounds, should have a good chance to win big at GM Place. He plays recreational hockey. He was good enough to play triple-A midget hockey in his home city of North Bay, Ont., and he took part in former NHL player Darren Turcotte's annual hockey schools, so he knows how to fire a puck.

Hall and two friends, Gord Cameron and Mason Ward, will go to centre ice where they will have 15 seconds each to shoot 10 pucks at an open net. That's 30 pucks in all.

If five find the net, Hall wins a 2007 Chevy Silverado. Ten shots that find the mark earn each of the three a new Silverado truck. If they get 15 into the net, all three, plus an online entrant and a fan at the game get trucks.
