Lindros has been told flat out by the concussion specialist to retire let alone wait until next year to play again.
Where did you hear this? According to last nights game she gave him clearance to skate in the practice that day.

Eric Lindros grew up where he was always the biggest and the best.He always succeeded. In the NHL he has had moments where he has been the best, but on the whole very little sustained success. In an earlier pos in another thread I said if there was a Hall of the Very Good in Hockey he would be there BUT NOT the Hockey Hall of Fame. To me Eric coming back is ego overriding common sense. He is driven by a strong desire to succeed. I think he sincerley beieves he can be a stong player again. Ever since his pee wee days he could carry the puck with his head down. You can't in the NHL and thus he gets hit in the open ice and thus he is on his 8th concussion. If he has invested his money wisely he shouldn't need to play. He has an Olympic gold medal, went to a Stanely Cup final. Call it a career, move on and be able to tell stories to your grand kids.

Listen let him play under 2 conditions:

1) He is cleared by one of the best doctors in the world

and

2) He really wants to come back and risk even more serious injuries, he should determine whether its about his love for the games or the money.

Personally I think its for his love of the game. He generally loves the game and everything about it. People come back from 1 or 2 concussions for money, they don't do it the 8th time around.

I don't think Eric is in need of money, unless he has a serious gambling problem *cough* Jagr *cough* :)

I don't think money has anything to do with it. It must be his love for the game.... and/or a potential trade to a team he wants to play for depending on his rehab progress.
