(Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars try to make it four straight wins to open the season tonight when they visit the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center in the back end of a two-game set.

After wins over Colorado and New Jersey the Stars managed a 4-1 decision versus the Kings on Thursday. Mike Modano registered a goal and an assist while Marty Turco made 32 saves.

Antti Miettinen, Brenden Morrow and Jussi Jokinen also scored for the Stars, while Eric Lindros added three assists in the victory.

Lindros, who signed with the club as a free agent this past summer, leads the club with four assists and five points on the young season. Morrow, who was named team captain in the preseason, has two goals and two assists.

The Stars are 3-0-0 for the fifth time in franchise history. The team record for a season-opening winning streak is six games, which occurred in 1996-97.

The Stars will continue their current road trip on Sunday in Anaheim.
