Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - Filip Kuba scored twice, as the Lightning continued their domination of the Islanders with a 5-1 victory at Nassau Coliseum.

Johan Holmqvist made 25 saves in the Lightning's fifth straight win over New York. Tampa Bay won all four meetings last season and hasn't lost to the Isles since March 21, 2004.

Martin St. Louis and Kuba scored power play goals less than five minutes apart in the second period for the Lightning. Andreas Karlsson and Eric Perrin also scored for Tampa Bay, which won for just the second time in its last six games overall.

Alexei Zhitnik scored the lone goal for the Islanders, who lost for the second straight time after winning three in a row. Mike Dunham made 22 stops in a losing cause.

Tampa Bay went 3-for-5 on the power play, scoring three straight with the man advantage.

St. Louis made it 2-1 at the 12:38 mark of the second. Perrin passed the puck from the left circle to St. Louis, who scored on a one-timer from the right circle. The goal ran St. Louis' point streak to nine games.

Kuba's first of the night came with 2:32 remaining in the second. Vinny Prospal centered the puck from below the right circle to Kuba for a deflection in front past Dunham.

St. Louis hasn't played like that in ages. It looks like he's found his game again this year.

And Philip Kuba is a good pickup for the Lightning. He may not be Kubina, but he does a good job back there nonetheless.
