(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning will aim for their third straight victory tonight, as they welcome the New York Rangers to St. Pete Times Forum.

The Lightning earned a shootout win in Philadelphia on Tuesday and then blanked the rival Hurricanes, 4-0, in Carolina on Thursday.

Not surprisingly, Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis led the way in the 4-0 victory over the Canes, as each player posted a goal and an assist. The duo are tied for the team lead with 32 goals each and St. Louis' 70 points on the year give him two more than Lecavalier.

Also on Thursday, Johan Holmqvist turned aside all 31 shots to record his first career shutout. Ryan Craig and Doug Janik each scored a goal, while Vaclav Prospal had two assists for the Lightning, who have won four of their last five and nine of their last 11.

Tampa Bay has 58 points and comes into Saturday tied with Carolina and Pittsburgh for the final three spots in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

The Lightning will try to become a .500 team at home tonight, as they are 12-13-0 as the host this season.
