The Maple Leafs have signed defenceman Andy Wozniewski to a one-year contract extension that will see him in a Toronto uniform through the 2007-08 season.

In keeping with club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

I odn't see what the rush to sing him was. He played decently for the Leafs for the first time this season, and is usually very rocky.

He's more of a 6th/7th d-man, and I think Toronto could have waited to see if other options were available later on in the season.

Ahh well. Whatever is done is done.

Hopefully he'll continue to play the way he has this season... when he returns from injury in 3 months.
