(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils hold their home opener tonight when they welcome the Toronto Maple Leafs at Continental Airlines Arena.

The Devils are 1-1 in the early going. After posting a 4-0 win over Carolina, they dropped a 3-1 tilt in Dallas on Saturday. Brenden Morrow scored a goal and added an assist to lift the Stars.

Travis Zajac's first goal in the NHL was the lone tally for the Devils. Martin Brodeur allowed three goals on 31 shots in the loss.

Zajac's marker brought the Devils within a goal midway through the second period, but the Stars' Eric Lindros sealed things late in the third period.

The Devils will host Atlantic Division rival Philadelphia on Saturday.
