(Sports Network) - The New York Rangers try to spark some momentum tonight when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.

The Blueshirts have lost four of their last five after winning the first two of the season. On Wednesday New York dropped a 3-0 tilt to visiting Nashville, as Tomas Vokoun made 38 saves and Scott Nichol had a goal and an assist to lead the Predators.

Henrik Lundqvist made 24 saves for the Rangers, who have lost four of their last five games. Jaromir Jagr and Michael Nylander each had six-game point- scoring streaks come to an end for New York, which was shut out for the first time ever by the Predators.

New York finished 0-for-8 on the power play in defeat, and is 7-for-43 on the young season.

The Rangers put a solid offensive attack on Vokoun, reaching double digits in shots in each period and notching a combined 27 in the last two frames combined. For the game, Jagr posted a game-high nine shots and Brendan Shanahan registered seven.

New York will host Florida on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs have alternated wins and losses in all eight games this season. On Friday they posted a 4-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.
