(Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs try to end a three-game losing streak this evening when they visit the Montreal Canadiens in a battle of Original Six clubs from the Bell Centre.

Toronto has lost four of its last five games overall, including Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators. Sens star Dany Heatley was too much for the Leafs, posting a hat trick to lead his club to victory.

Jeff O'Neill and Bates Battaglia scored for Toronto, while goaltender Andrew Raycroft allowed seven goals on 40 shots in the losing effort.

Meanwhile, the Canadiens have alternated wins and losses over their past seven games. On Thursday Montreal edged the Boston Bruins, 3-2, in dramatic fashion at TD Banknorth Garden.

Andrei Markov scored the game-winning power-play goal with 1.2 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Habs.

Chris Higgins posted a goal and two assists for the Canadiens, while Michael Ryder also scored and Sheldon Souray added a pair of assists.

Goaltender Cristobal Huet blocked 34 shots for the win.
