MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (CP) - Chris Lawrence, Michael Swift and Jadran Beljo combined for four goals and eight points in a five-goal outburst in the first period as the Mississauga IceDogs beat the Ottawa 67's 6-1 Sunday afternoon in the Ontario Hockey League.

Lawrence scored twice in the opening frame, raising his season total to 13. He also drew an assist on Beljo's 11th as the IceDogs improved their record to 13-8-0-1 in the Eastern Conference standings.

Swift also had a pair of goals, giving him 12 on the season. He scored once in the first-period onslaught and closed out the scoring with his second of the game late in the third. He drew assists on Lawrence's second goal of the game and also set up Beljo for his goal.

Jordan Owens notched his 16th of the season to round out Mississauga's scoring.
