KITCHENER, Ont. (CP) - Rookie goaltender Charles Lavigne lost a bid for his first Ontario Hockey League shutout with 5:32 remaining, but the Kitchener Rangers skated to an easy 8-3 victory over the Erie Otters Friday.
Lavigne was ejected after he batted the puck over the glass into the stands in frustration. He faces a suspension for his actions after Zack Torquato's first of two goals in a span of 20 seconds
Lavigne's replacement, John Murray, allowed two goals in just over five minutes.
