Suspended Leafs defenceman Pavel Kubina was very remorseful yesterday for the crosscheck to the chin of Detroit's Jiri Hudler that earned him a one-game suspension from the league. He'll serve it tonight and miss the Leafs' season and home opener.

He better be. Other than being big, Belak has got nothing on Kubina but goonery, and that was a sad game to watch. :(

Not at all Wade's fault of course, but Kubina better have one shell-raiser of a game tonight (especially since he's in my avy).

Bryan McCabe just doesn't cut it.

Ask and you shall recieve.

So what does everyone think of Kubina and Gill now?

Gill hasn't been as bad as Bruins fans say he is so far... but we'll have to wait and see if it's just because it's the first 2 games of the season, and Ottawa didn't look too good in their last game. Kubina played well, and he should continue to do so. If he can play as well as he didn in 2004, things will be brighter on the Toronto blueline.

He's just gotta' tone things down a bit though. Like Janne Niinimaa, (or to a greater extent, Chris Pronger) he can run into some penalty problems.
