(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Kings are ready for a new batch of monarchs to take over.
The Kings were big sellers in the trade market this season, but in the process have acquired 21 total picks spanning the next two drafts. Ten of those will come in the first three rounds over the next two years.
Many of those draft choices were acquired this week right before Tuesday's trade deadline.
The biggest name to get moved was captain Mattias Norstrom, who was sent to Dallas along with forward Konstantin Pushkarev and a third and fourth-round pick in exchange for defenseman Jaroslav Modry, the rights to defender Johan Fransson and three draft picks.
Those picks included a second and third-round choice in 2007 and a first-round selection in 2008.
