Legendary coach and Ottawa 67's General Manager, Brian Kilrea, is coming out of retirement to coach a star-studded team of 67's alumni as they take on the Canterbury Chargers in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Canterbury High School. Former members of the Ottawa 67's who attended Canterbury will play against this year's edition of the Chargers at the Jim Durrell Arena at 3:00pm on May 30, 2009.
The 67's Alumni Game is part of a three-day celebration commemorating the milestone birthday for one of Ottawa's unique and most recognizable schools, as well as the 25th Anniversary of Canterbury's Distinguished Arts Program, the only one of its kind in the City.
Former Ottawa 67's forward Shean Donovan, who now plays for the Ottawa Senators, is the most recent addition to the player roster. Donovan will join alumni such as Steve Zoryk, Bill Kitchen, and Brian Kilrea, the winningest coach in CHL history, in a fundraiser for the school.
Tickets are available at the door for $5.00.
