Ken Danby mask sells for $15,150 in support of spinal injury research

BURLINGTON, Ont. (CP) - A goalie mask featuring a recreation of Canadian artist Ken Danby's painting At The Crease was the top seller during a recent online auction that raised more than US$20,000 for charity.

Calgary's Stephan Mravinac paid $15,150 for the mask during the Source For Sports One-Of-A-Kind Mask Auction last week. The event was in support of Shoot For A Cure, an organization that seeks to raise money for spinal cord research, raise awareness of spinal cord injuries in hockey and promote prevention of hockey-related spinal cord injuries
